'64 Linda (Marsh) McKechnie recently released a new CD titled "Rhapsody of Christmas II". The artistry of Linda Mckechnie's arrangements and piano stylings with the Don Marsh orchestra draws the listener to discover the familiar and the new. Experience Christmas with the unique combination of carols from around the world and classical music; the magical dance-like strains of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker woven with He is Born and Angels from the Realms of Glory; the lullaby of Away in a Manger with the haunting, compelling melody of Satie's Gymnopedic#1; the high spirited Here We Come A-caroling; the expressive solo piano of Sweet Little Jesus Boy; Linda's introspective, original melody of Enjoying the Moment; and the syncopated surprises in Simple Gifts. Linda's musical sensitivity brings an ambiance of passion, joy, and reflection. Learn more about Linda and her music at: www.lindamckechnie.com

'65 Philip Renicks, EdD, retired as the vice president of international ministries, from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) on August 1, 2007. Joyce Renicks ('64, MEd, Phil's wife and executive assistant, retired at the same time. In 1965 following graduation from Nyack, Phil and Joyce moved back to Ohio to begin careers in teaching. In 1975 they followed God's call to missionary service at the Alliance Academy in Quito, Ecuador. After 9 years as missionary educators at the Alliance Academy, Phil and Joyce were appointed by the ACSI board to begin ACSI's Office of International Ministries. That office started in the basement of Phil and Joyce's home in Northport, Alabama. The two were tasked with offering ACSI services to Christian schools outside the United States. In the first year, 23 international Christian schools in 19 countries joined ACSI. The office in Alabama moved outside Phil and Joyce's home as new staff came on board. By 1990, the first ACSI office outside North America was established in Guatemala City. In 1989, Phil was invited to Romania, a visit that resulted in the opening of Christian schools in Romania. ACSI opened its Europe office in Budapest, Hungary, in 1991, followed by the opening of the ACSI office in the former Soviet Union in 1992. ACSI was one of the founding organizations of the CoMission in 1991, and Phil and Joyce traveled in Russia and Ukraine to work with teachers. In 1996, the international office moved to ACSI's new Colorado Springs, Colorado, headquarters, and Phil became the vice president of international ministries. As a result of Phil's visionary work, ACSI now has regional offices in the Philippines, South Africa, Paraguay, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Romania, France, and Indonesia. Phil says, Joyce and I praise God for trusting us with His work and thank the leadership of ACSI for giving us the opportunity of a lifetime for 22 years of service to Christian schools around the world. God has blessed us with a staff of 85 as we serve the needs of more than 1,300 schools with 311,250 students in 105 countries. We have had the privilege of traveling the world as God's ambassadors to Christian schools, but the greatest privilege is in meeting and knowing the heroes of the faith who serve Christian schools in the far-flung corners of the world. Phil and Joyce have four children and 9 grandchildren. They have relocated to Franklin, TN where they continue as consultants to Christian schools in the international context. Email Phil at pjrenicks@bellsouth.net.
