Though the spring semester has just wrapped up, the deadlines for the fall 2011 semseter are quickly approaching. The final deadline for all materials is July 1. This means that all the paper materials for your application (application for admission, recommendations, personal statement, transcripts) must be received by that date.

Also if you have not yet taken the Liberal Arts and Sciences Test (LAST), the last acceptable test date for fall admissions is June 11, which coincides with the administration of the paper-based version of the test. You can take the computer-based version of the test, but you must do so on or before June 11.

As always if you have any questions or concerns, please be sure to contact Jeff at (845) 675-4466 or admissions.mse@nyack.edu.

Yes, that's right. It's already time to look forward to next fall! As far off as that may seem, it is much closer than you may think. That's why it is as important as ever to think about completing the application process. Here are some deadlines that you need to consider:

July 1 - Postmark deadline for all application materials.

June 11 - Last chance to take the Liberal Arts and Sciences Test (LAST) for fall enrollment (the registration deadline for this test is May 6; propective students are encouraged to take the test before this date)

Though these deadlines seem far away, they will approach very quickly. Submitting materials after these deadlines will prevent you from beginning in the fall, so it is vital that you get started now.

As always, contact Jeff Hoops at (845) 675-4466 or admissions.mse@nyack.edu if you have any questions.

Administration and School of Education faculty participated in the Ceremony, which included the presentation of two awards. The Academic Excellence Award was bestowed upon Martha Diaz and the award for Excellence in Research was bestowed upon Martha Diaz. The Hooding Ceremony included an address by Mr. Walter Woodhouse, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction for the Nyack Public Schools, who recalled his career in education and the influence of a single teacher. He asked the graduates to never underestimate their influence in the classroom.

We at Nyack’s Graduate School of Education are pleased to announce that we will now be offering a new format for some of our open houses – online! This means that you can attend an information session in the convenience of your own home!

To be sure, nothing can ever replace face-to-face interaction, and for that reason, we recommend that you do everything you can to attend an actual open house. But sometimes that’s just not possible, and we don’t want you to miss the opportunity to ask questions and get more information simply because you can’t attend an in-person session.

To view dates and register for one of these open houses, visit http://www.nyack.edu/calendar/MSED. After you RSVP, we will send you an email confirming your registration with the link for the online session. To register by phone, call (845) 675-4466.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
