Baseball Defeats Concordia 9-1

Nyack, NY- The men's baseball team defeated Concordia College yesterday evening in a CACC conference matchup at Nyack High School by a score of 9-1. The win pushes the Warriors record to 2-7 in CACC play and 4-20 on the season.
The Warrior offense jumped ahead 7-0 in the early going and added two runs in the 5th inning to lead 9-0 before ending the game up 9-1. Nyack pounded out 14 hits in the win behind another strong start from senior Derrick Gamble. Gamble would spread out 6 hits over 8 1/3, fanning 9 Clippers and picking up his first victory of the season.
Jonathan Mott finished the day 3 for 5 with 3 rbi's, with Zach McVadon, PJ Rodriguez, Pierre Crespo, and JD Calabrese each collecting 2 hits a piece. Rodriguez and Mike Frank would each drive in 2 runners in the win.
The Warriors return to non-conference action tonight when they take on Post University.
