Baseball Sweeps USP 8-3, 3-2

Philadelphia, PA- The men's baseball team completed their first double-header road sweep of 2010 with two CACC wins over USP this afternoon at FDR park. The Warriors are now 8-23 on the season and sit at 4-9 in CACC play.
In game 1 Nyack would jump out to an early 2-0 lead, but USP would rally to tie the game at 2 in the bottom of the 6th. The Warriors would add 4 runs in the 8th and 2 in the 9th to seal the victory. Wayne Richardson picks up his 2nd victory of the season, going 7 strong innings and allowing 3 earned. JD Calabrese finished the final 2 innings to pick up his 2nd save of the season.
Calabrese would also turn out a 4 for 5 performance in game 1, Mike Frank would finish the game 2 for 3 with 2 rbi's, Jose Alberro also went 2 for 4. Luis Caceres would go 1 for 1 in the game with 2 rbi's.
In game two, it would take the Warriors extra innings to notch their 3rd and winning run as they went on to the 3-2 victory. Eric Lloyd posted a solid start for Nyack, going 7 innings, allowing 1 earned run and striking out 5. Mike Frank picks up his first victory of the season, pitching a scoreless 8th and 9th inning, and JD Calabrese picked up his 2nd save of the day after throwing a scoreless frame in the 10th.
Calabrese and Frank would each post 2 more hits in game 2, and Luis Caceres would finish the game 3 for 4 with 2 rbi's including the game winning single in the top of the tenth.
The Warriors return to action this Monday when they host rival Dominican College at home at 7 PM.
