Nyack places 13 on fall CACC All-Academic team
Warriors News

NEW HAVEN, CT (January 16, 2009) The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) has announced its All-Academic team for the 2008 fall athletic season today. A total of 118 student-athletes among the 13 conference schools have been named to the team. The 118 members are seven more than the 2007 fall team.

Thirteen Nyack Warriors have been named to the team, two each from Men's (Issac Wade and Joel Bicknell) and Women's Soccer (Christinna Hostetter and Brittany Kimlingen), four from the Women's Volleyball team (Laurie Stuart, Colleen Weidman, Samantha Friday and Megan Metcalf), one from Men's Cross Country (Jason Hodne) and four from the Women's Cross Country Team (Alisha Austin, Joleen Butterfield, Elizabeth Rigotti and Pamala Gaines).

A total of 26 student-athletes have earned All-Academic status for the third time in their careers. The three-time honorees have a star next to their name on the list below. Meanwhile, 33 were honored for the second time.  In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic team, recipients must have participated in a CACC Championship sport this past fall. They must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student-athlete at their current school for at least two semesters, and achieve a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher through the fall semester.  The complete list of honorees, separated by sport, is below.
