Length of Occupancy

Apartments are normally rented for the academic year, with the option of continuing in the summer. Students are expected to vacate their apartments at the end of the semester they graduate. Housing contracts are renewed on an annual basis and expire June 30th each year. Requests to move in earlier may be noted on the application, but cannot always be granted.

Housing Considerations

  • Graduate students have first priority for Seminary Housing. Housing is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Assigned housing will be available one week prior to registration.
  • The college reserves the right to change assigned rooms as necessary.
  • Single students living in an apartment alone are required to pay the full price of the monthly rental cost. They may also be asked to take on a roommate, if space concerns warrant it. Rent will be adjusted at that time.
Application

Housing is contingent upon your acceptance. Applications will be made available by request once accepted. Apartments for graduate and/or married students are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis as applications are received. To request for an application or ask questions you may e-mail jenny.lee@nyack.edu.
