Each morning thousands of  “Talibé boys” are forced to spend their childhood roaming the streets of Senegal, begging for food and money. Relinquished by families who could no longer afford to keep them, they are entrusted to the local religious leader who require the boys to beg to reach a specified quota.

 

They are left uneducated, malnourished, and abused.
