Our aim is to provide undergraduate students with a liberal arts education taught from a Christian worldview which will serve as a foundation for the pursuit of lifelong learning, ethical living, and a successful career. Our passion and vision is to prepare students to be critical thinkers who are spiritually reflective and engaged citizens.

The College of Arts and Sciences - with 35 full-time faculty, 15 departments, and 13 degrees - is the largest of Nyack’s seven schools. The liberal arts core curriculum equips students to examine the world through a richer, broader, multidisciplinary lens which is classically based and contemporarily relevant. This academic experience is enriched by the college’s greatest cultural and intellectual resource - New York.

Our diverse and international faculty come with real-world experience and is committed to excellence in teaching and scholarship. More importantly, they provide each student with individual attention serving as caring mentors and academic advisors.

Students may select from the following Bachelor and Associate Degrees: Communications (BS), Criminal Justice (BS), English (BA), History (BA), Interdisciplinary Studies (BA & BS), Mathematics (BA), Philosophy (BA), Psychology (BA), Religion (BA), Sociology (BA), General Education (AA), or the Liberal Arts and Sciences (AA). Furthermore, the Honors Program at Nyack provides students of exceptional intellectual curiosity an accelerated and enhanced academic experience.
