| Chapel Speakers Spiritual Emphasis Week Spring 2008: Orlando Rivera
The Office of Spiritual Formation has invited Rev. Orlando Rivera to be the Spring 2008 Spiritual Emphasis Speaker for the Rockland Campus. Orlando is married to Nancy and lives in Orlando, FL with his eight children. Orlando is a pastor, professor and an entrepreneur. He serves as the founding pastor of the Hub University Church in Orlando, a Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. The Hub seeks to train people to mentor apprentice leaders who will serve various Christian communities. Orlando is an adjunct professor of Ethics at the Crummer Graduate School of Business and Palm Beach Atlantic University. Orlando is also the owner and operator of two Nature’s Table restaurants and is under contract to open his third restaurant in the fall of 2008. Orlando received a B.A. in Economics from SUNY Albany, a M.Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, FL and an M.B.A. from the Roy Crummer Graduate School of Business. Orlando has completed his course work and comprehensive exams and is now in the dissertation stage towards a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University. His goal is to apply the truth of the Scripture not only to the church, but to the marketplace where much of life occurs. Orlando will speak in the Bowman Gymnasium chapel on Monday and Wednesday, January 28th and 30th, at 10 am. He will also speak in Pardington Hall Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday Evenings, January 28th, 29th, and 30th, at 8 pm. Student attendance for the evening services is optional.
