Welcome to Fine Arts at Nyack (NYC)
Kincade

The Fine Arts at Nyack College have an important place in our curriculum, and we welcome those students who are particularly interested in studying Applied Art. Art and music are living languages with which we should all be acquainted. As we study the arts, we find commonalities with distant cultures as well as connecting with our own heritage. History comes alive for us through the paintings, music, sculpture, and architecture of the past.

All Fine Arts courses offered at Nyack College fulfill the FNA Core requirement. If you select Arts in the City, you can enjoy the culture of the City of New York, visiting many of the world-renowned museums and concert venues in the course of the semester. You may select an overview called Introduction to the Fine Arts, or you can choose Twentieth Century Fine Art, African American Fine Arts, or Music Appreciation. Courses are also offered in Church Architecture and Art History. Any of these courses, and others, will enrich your understanding and will add pleasure to your life. If you are interested in ministry, being familiar with the arts will add a new dimension to your spiritual understanding as well. The arts are an eloquent sign that we are made in the image and likeness of God.

We are proud to present a talented group of applied artists as well. Some of their works are visible on these pages. We invite you to take a virtual tour of our online gallery, and to come and visit us at one of our campuses.
