English Language Institute (ELI) of Nyack NYC


What is ELI?

The English Language Institute of Nyack College, New York City offers an 8 week intensive program that develops English listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The Institute prepares non-native speakers for college level study in English through intensive study of academic English.

Program Details

Cost: Total cost of program is $800, which includes tuition and all books. (International
students pay an additional $600 processing fee.)

Entrance requirements: Open enrollment. Students will be tested during their first week in the program and placed at the appropriate level. There are 4 levels: Introductory, Low Intermediate, Intermediate, and High Intermediate.

Time frame: 8 weeks

Meeting frequency: 4 days per week, 5 hours per day with unlimited LAB use.

Meeting time:
Academic classes: 6-9 pm
LAB time: 4-6 pm

Fabulous Friday trips: Each Friday during the ELI, we will take trips to various sites in NYC.  Click here for a detailed description of the trips.

The total package for Fab Friday trips is $250.  This price includes lunch, entrance fees, and transportation costs for all trips

Dates:
Registration is on June 12th (3-7 pm) and June 13th (12-5 pm).

ELI classes begin on June 16th, 2008 and continue through August 7th, 2008.
