Dear Residential Students,

As you are preparing for end of the semester check-outs from your residence halls, please keep in mind the following changes to the check out procedure, which can be found on page 135-136 of the Student Handbook:

Students must check out no later than 24 hours after their last final exam, or they will be charged per day to remain on campus, up until the dorms officially close for the winter break on Wednesday, December 23 at 6pm. In order to facilitate this process, all residential students must bring a copy of their class schedule to their end-of-the-year floor meeting, and present it to their RA before scheduling a check-out appointment.

If students have made prior travel plans which cannot be altered (flights, trains, and other pre-purchased, scheduled transport), they must show proof of their travel arrangements to a residence life professional staff person in order to qualify for an exemption to this policy.

No students will be permitted to stay in the residence halls during the break. As a reminder, residence halls re-open on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 9am.
