For Books:

The following patron groups may borrow books for the following loan periods:

For Music CDs, videos, DVDs, Computer Software, ATS Library microform:

21 days, no renewal

For Reserves:

2 hours or overnight (due at 9:00 AM the next business day), 1 renewal

For Laptops & Equipment (Nyack College/ATS Students/Faculty/Staff only):

2 hours

For ATS Counseling Tests:

48 hours, no renewal

Renewals

 A book may be renewed as long as no one else has requested it (placed a "hold" on it).  You can renew online on or before the due date by clicking on "My Library Account" on the library homepage.  You may also renew in person at any of the three libraries.

Overdues  & Fines

Overdue notices are sent to your email address.  The overdue notice is a complimentary service.  Overdue fines accrue even if the notice is not received.

• The first overdue notice is generated one day after the due date.
• The second overdue notice is generated 14 days after the due date. 
• If the book is not returned after 45 days after the due date, a fines statement will be sent that includes the maximum $6.00 fines per item and the generic (average) $50 replacement fee per item for a total of $56.00 per item.  (Once the item has been returned the $50 replacement fee will be removed.)

Fines

Fines may be paid at any of the three libraries.  A patron's library account is blocked from use when the patron owes $12.00 in overdue fines.  When a patron's fines have reached $50.00, an institutional block will be placed on the student account and future registration is blocked until the fines have been paid.

Books, Audiocassettes, Slides, Software, Videos, CD's, ATS microforms - $0.25 per day

Reserve Items - $1.00 per hour

ATS Counseling Tests - $1.00 per hour

Equipment - $1.00 per hour

Laptop - $20.00 per hour
