The Master of Business Administration seeks applicants with professional work experience who want to develop or enhance their management skills. The admission committee reviews each candidate's overall credentials including work experience, test scores, and academic preparation.
Admission Requirements
- Application and Application Fee. Applicants must turn in a completed application for admissions with a $50.00 application fee (or submit the online application).
- Official Undergraduate Transcript. An applicant must have completed a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Transcripts must be submitted from the college or university that awarded the degree. If the applicant attended more than one college or university, official transcripts must be submitted from those institutions.
- Writing Proficiency. Applicants to the MBA program must demonstrate college-level writing proficiency in order to assure their ability to successfully complete their master's degree. Writing samples are completed by applicants and evaluated by the admissions committee.
- Professional Recommendation. Each applicant is required to provide one (1) reference letter from a current or former employer who can accurately assess the applicants level of competency and potential to successfully complete a graduate-level program.
- Academic Recommendation. Each applicant is required to provide one (1) reference letter from a professor who can accurately assess the applicants ability to successfully complete a graduate-level program. If an applicant has been out of school five (5) years or more and is unable to obtain an academic reference, a reference letter from an individual in a leadership role, who can assess the applicants capabilities and potential to successfully complete a graduate-level program is required.
- Resume. Each applicant is required to submit a current resume detailing academic and professional achievements.
- GMAT. It is required to take the Graduate Management Admission Test and you must have an acceptable score taken within the last five (5) years. - Immunizations. Documentation of adequate vaccinations for Measles, Mumps, and Rubella must be provided by the student in accordance with the New York State health regulations for colleges. In addition, a meningitis vaccination response form must be submitted.
- Interview with the Director*. Applicants may be interviewed at the discretion of the School of Business and Leadership.
- FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid). Prior to registration, students are required to submit a current FAFSA (pertains to students who intend to receive financial aid of any kind). Watch this screencast for instructions for filling out your FAFSA application.

International Applicants
- International students must comply with all MBA standard criteria for admissions. International applicants must have completed a bachelor's degree or the equivalent with a minimum of 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) from an appropriately accredited college or university
- Applicants whose primary language is not English must take a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 550 (paper), 220 (computer version), 83 (internet version). An official score report no more than five years old must be submitted.
- All foreign language documents must be accompanied by an official translation into English.
